Pitch Fibre Re-Rounding
Pitch fibre drainage systems have been causing problems for many years, their installation is now banned under the current building regulations and alternatives have to be used.
Previously the only option available for remedial action was excavation, both costly and time consuming. However, recent advancements now mean that Drain-Spec can re-round deformed or de-laminated pitched fibre pipes in-situ, thus making significant savings in time and therefore cost.
The diagram below shows how partially collapsed pitch fibre pipes can be re-rounded without resorting to excavation.
Once the re-rounding has been completed a structural drain liner is installed through the run this adds new strength to the original pitch fibre pipeline and prevents any further deformation.
